Company Secretarial Support

We are currently looking for a Company Secretarial Support to join us on a 21 month fixed-term-contract (FTC) to be based in London or Manchester. You will be reporting into the Company Secretary with a strong focus on corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for company secretarial support to the MRDP/JLP governance structure.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the Boards, Board Committees and sub-committees, including: meeting planning, logistics, and agenda setting; paper compilation, review for governance purposes and distribution; and attendance at relevant meetings for minuting.
• Support in the arranging of regulatory meetings requested by Lloyd’s, FCA, PRA and other regulators as appropriate.
• Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
• Undertake any ad-hoc activities and help out with other MRSG Group entity company secretarial matters as and when required.

Knowledge and Skills

• Previous company secretarial experience, including experience of meeting support throughout the whole process, from scheduling to minuting and circulating actions
• Must have strong minute taking skills.
• Insurance or financial services experience.
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral, with experience communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised self-starter – able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Solution focused – an ability to investigate and respond to queries and issues arising.
• Self-motivated – Takes an enthusiastic approach and is able to work under own initiative without need for close supervision to achieve results.
• Personally Accountable – Willing to take personal responsibility to pursue tasks with energy and drive to completion.
• Pragmatic thinking style – Anticipates issues before they occur, is solution orientated, balances analysis, intuition, experience.
