Assistant Financial Accountant

Working with a growing Investment Management business who are looking for an ambitious part-qualified accountant to join a lean finance function.

Responsibilities:

1. Drafting of quarterly management accounts with variance analysis for review by FC and inputting quarterly journal entries.
2. Weekly reporting and monthly reporting – take ownership of monthly reporting, producing first drafts of the following; P&L, budget comparison report, liquidity forecasts, arrears reports, rent rolls, leasing reports, bank statements and reconciliations, and calculation of distributable cashflows – and ensuring these are passed on within the deadline.
3. Quarterly reporting – take ownership of quarterly management accounts and be the point of contact for reporting to Jersey based administrators within the deadline, as well as producing finalised versions of the monthly reporting.
4. Manage the monthly sales reports as well as other third-party institutional clients, and take ownership of consolidated site performance reporting
5. Manage the expenses system, ensuring correct coding, keeping the account funded, making sure VAT claims are correct, and escalating issues if needed.
6. Be the internal point of contact for all accounts payable queries from group AP.
7. Manage the accounts receivable function, work with ops team to ensure invoices are sent out on time.
8. Produce the first draft of statutory accounts and tax returns for review by FC.
9. Producing the monthly sales reconciliation, solving reconciliation issues, and posting sales/ deferred sales journals to Xero.
10. Manage the private equity partner reporting process
11. Be responsible for bank reporting, including debt covenant testing.
12. Be the point of contact for VAT queries.
13. Produce the first draft of statutory accounts for all entities in the platform.
14. Be responsible for setting up of new companies for new sites and VAT registration.
15. Be responsible for company secretarial matters, liaising with administrators on this.
16. Involvement in group accounting.

Qualifications:

1. Part-Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA
2. Strong University Academics, preferably with a degree in Finance
