Be at the heart of innovation.
Future Space is a multi-award-winning university-partnered innovation centre supporting over 70 high-tech businesses — all located on UWE Bristol’s Frenchay campus. As Assistant Innovation Manager, you’ll be right in the thick of it: designing growth programmes, coordinating collaboration with one of the UK’s leading enterprise universities, and helping some of the region’s most trailblazing businesses to scale.
You’ll make the programmes run, the partnerships work, and the impact visible.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and deliver high-impact business support programmes, from founder forums to innovation sprints and mini accelerators
- Coordinate collaboration between businesses and UWE Bristol, including student consultancy, internships, and skills training
- Engage the community by shaping events, gathering feedback, and building strong relationships with founders and partners
- Support funding bids and help deliver externally funded innovation programmes
- Track impact through data, feedback, and reporting to demonstrate real business benefit
What you’ll bring:
To succeed, you’ll need to understand the challenges and opportunities faced by startups and scaleups — and know your way around the innovation ecosystem. You’ll be proactive, energetic and outcome-driven, with a passion for building communities and making support systems that work.
This is a delivery-focused, highly practical role — perfect for someone who loves bringing people together to turn ideas into action.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in innovation, business support, or startup ecosystems
- A track record of delivering workshops, events, or training
- Familiarity with university-business collaboration
