Role: Assistant Management Accountant - 6 Month FTC

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Location: Colchester, Essex

Your Role

  • Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts, through the review of Corporate Pay statements and Petty Cash returns.
  • Managing the posting of Corporate Pay statements and Petty Cash returns.
  • Assisting in the production of reconciliations for the balance sheet.
  • Reviewing general ledger entries highlighting unusual transactions.
  • Managing the accruals and prepayments month end process with guidance from the Finance team.
  • Reviewing and posting corporate credit card expenditure.
  • Producing schedules and analysis for cost breakdowns.
  • Maintaining Fixed Assets Registers and Capital Expenditure Reports.
  • Assisting with internal and external reporting.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will:

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to present financial information clearly
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within management accounting
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data
  • Experience with benefits in kind and with pension schemes and associated administration
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and financial modelling
