Key Responsibilities (Once Fully Trained):
- Ownership of prepayments and accruals
- Process sales invoices, monitor the AR ledger and promptly chase overdue debts
- Prepare and post journals (accruals, prepayments, recharges) with detailed working papers
- Review expense claims and ensure appropriately processed in accordance with the policy
- Post non-system generated bank postings in the ERP and reconcile all bank accounts
- Create, dispose and depreciate fixed assets in accordance with policy and maintain the register
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute to process improvements and problem-solving within the finance function
- Support month-end closing activities and provide assistance during audits
- Support with ad-hoc analysis and tasks
- Assist with the processing of supplier invoices and purchase order creation (primarily as cover for the AP assistant)
What We’re Looking For:
- Studying towards CIMA or ACCA (desirable) or completed AAT (essential)
- Strong Excel skills - including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIF (essential)
- Experience with an ERP (desirable)
