To support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy interventions across the Rehabilitation Ward (Ward 3) and Orthopaedic Elective Ward (Ward 6). The post-holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to promote safe, effective, and timely rehabilitation, contributing to optimised patient outcomes, enhanced patient flow, and reduced length of stay.
The role requires autonomous practice within agreed competencies, alongside supporting registered clinicians in assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
The Assistant Practitioner Therapy role will be within the Hospital team The role is offer assessments and treatments to optimize patients mobility and discharge planning from hospital. The role is for a dual trained assistant practitioner working closely with physiotherapists, Occupational therapist and other assistant practitioners to meet the expected targets.
You will work along side qualified members of staff to offer high end therapy assessments and treatments meeting the met of the service user. You will play a vital role in their intervention following Surgery and supporting the rehabilitation ward. Weekend working will be required.
There is two available positions, a 37.5 and 30 hour positions
Clinical Responsibilities
- Undertake delegated assessments and interventions for patients requiring rehabilitation following trauma, elective orthopaedic procedures, surgery, or deconditioning.
