The role:
Our Assistant Project Controller plays a crucial role in supporting various project control functions. This includes integrating scheduling, risk management, change management, document control, and costing activities. The aim is to ensure transparent and timely project performance insights, facilitating quick and informed decision-making and the implementation of control measures. Additionally, the role involves continuous support for process enhancements within the assigned matrixed team to drive improved performance and efficiency.
What you’ll do:
- Support the delivery of the Core Services within PMO by demonstrating the required behaviours to promote the UU vision and its values.
- Support the delivery of one of the PMO Services functions to recognised standards in a timely manner.
- Support the Project Controller with the correct assessment of the project delivery status.
- Support and maintain processes and systems to control the project and ensure an accurate report of progress is maintained.
- Monitor the integrated baseline master schedule and cost plan through regular consultation with all parties, ensuring the schedule and cost and budget are continuously aligned.
- Report Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s).
- Support the Project Controller with Earned Value (EV) management and reporting on the project.
- Prepare formal and ad hoc reports of the project process to be integrated into the monthly Project Report.
- Maintain a schedule of interfaces and dependencies and support management of interfaces.
- Support the Project Controller with application of the change management process through all tiers of the project.
- Support the delivery of the PMO’s continuous improvement agenda through the identification of task level improvements, to enhance performance across the overall Programme.
- Responsible for complying with appropriate business Process and Work Instruction documentation to ensure data integrity.
What we’re looking for:
- Some knowledge/ experience in Project Administration/ Controls
- Experience using IT systems such as Primavera P6, SAP, cost management systems and others
- Knowledge of reporting
- Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
- Strong attention to detail
