As an
Assistant Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in planning, managing, and delivering capital works that improve road safety, accessibility, and public spaces. From surfacing and drainage to traffic calming and public realm enhancements, you’ll be part of a team that’s transforming communities.
What you'll be doing
- Support the delivery of diverse highway projects across Buckinghamshire.
- Manage programmes, budgets, and reporting to meet client and business expectations.
- Lead multi-functional teams including commercial, permitting, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Build strong relationships with customers, consultants, and the local community.
- Promote sustainable solutions and continuous improvement across all operations.
- Maintain accurate project records and contribute to post-completion reviews.
Who we're looking for
Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in highways or civil engineering project delivery
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive operational excellence
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial mechanisms (desirable)
