Based from our Cardiff office, CF23 8RS with travel to client sites as required.
We have opportunities for Project Managers of all levels, to support us building a brand-new team within our Cardiff office, all part of our ambitious growth strategy. You will work as part of our project management discipline across a wide variety of sectors including Advanced Manufacturing & Motorsport, Defence & Security, Demolition, Education, Healthcare, Heritage Buildings, Public Buildings and Residential including Regeneration.
What You’ll Do
- Acting as Assistant Project Manager on projects within our portfolio.
- Take complete responsibility for some of our smaller projects and support senior colleagues as you gain experience on our major programmes of work.
- Assist Project Managers in ensuring quality control of larger scale projects.
- Ensure regular and proactive engagement with the client and other delivery partners.
- Update contractual milestones in project systems.
- Ensure the document plan for the project is in place.
- Follow up the project progress and inform the main stakeholders of any deviations
- Ensure project deliverables are met, and clients’ expectations are exceeded.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree qualification (or equivalent) in relevant subject, ideally Project Management.
- Ideally be working towards, or are considering working towards either MRICS / MCIOB / MAPM or PRINCE2. We can provide support to you to achieve this.
- Construction project management experience within a built environment consultancy.
- The ability to lead a series of projects and manage client relationships.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and particularly MS Project and similar digital software.
- You need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and our highly skilled project teams.
- You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to work flexibly, both in the office and on-site, whilst demonstrating commercial awareness and exhibiting the ability to be a proactive and passionate team player.
