Assistant Psychologist in the Adult Community Rehab Team (ACRT) and the Homerton Transitional Neurorehabilitation Unit (HTNRU)

This exciting post will join the thriving and substantial Consultant-led Neuropsychology Service. At Homerton, we have neuropsychology staff working in multidisciplinary teams across the whole neurorehabilitation pathway - from acute services, to Level 1 and Level 2b transitional neurorehabilitation units, and on to community services. Homerton Neuropsychology has a strong holistic ethos and the services we work into have adopted a biopsychosocial formulation led approach.
This exciting assistant psychology post will be split across inpatient (HTNRU – one day a week) and community (ACRT – four days a week) settings and provides an excellent opportunity for a diversity of neuropsychology experiences. There are well established neuropsychology services in both HTNRU and ACRT and this post will enjoy close working with other psychologists and MDT colleagues, weekly supervision from a Clinical Psychologist, and participation in high quality regular neuropsychology CPD sessions.

The Post Holder Will Be Expected To
- Conduct neuropsychological and psychological assessments with patients with neurological conditions both in inpatient rehabilitation settings (HTNRU) and community neurorehabilitation services (ACRT) under supervision of qualified psychologists.
- Produce neuropsychological reports under supervision.
- Deliver neuropsychological and psychological interventions under supervision, utilising behavioural, CBT, ACT, CFT and systemic approaches, alongside cognitive rehabilitation.
- Appropriate to the banding of the role, undertake observations and consultations, feedback at meetings, compile scoring and written summaries of neuropsychological test data.
- Complete clinical administration tasks such as keeping relevant databases up to date, booking clinical appointments, liaising with carers, family members and other services, making onward referrals, and other relevant clinical administration tasks.
- Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
