Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our dynamic
Rail Plant team.

What you'll be doing
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring commercial and contractual control across exciting rail projects.
You’ll work closely with project managers and stakeholders to drive profitability, manage costs, and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and clients.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Championing health, safety, and environmental standards across all activities.
- Supporting project profitability and cost forecasting.
- Managing contract cost reporting systems and tracking financial performance.
- Identifying and managing contract variations and ensuring timely client approvals.
- Assisting with subcontractor selection and tender processes.
- Maintaining accurate records to support claims and payments.
Who we're looking for
Essential
- A degree in construction, business, or a related field.
- Working towards or holding a professional qualification (e.g. RICS).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong IT skills and commercial awareness.
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
Desirable
- Experience in the build sector—especially education, accommodation, or commercial projects.
