Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our London based Building Consultancy team as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. As the post holder, you will be working within the existing cost management team to deliver projects and will receive hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional looking establish themselves and make a significant contribution to developing this business while also developing their career in Quantity Surveying.

Main tasks:

Provide a full Quantity Surveying service to tall clients
Provide support and advice to other members of the Building Consultancy team and assist with workload sharing where necessary.
Involvement in all stages of cost management taking projects from initial feasibility studies and options appraisals, design development, to handover and agreement of the final account together with other cost and commercial matters on a project.

Using electronic tools to review and extract information from project information

Assistance with report writing.

What will it take to be successful?

You will be working towards Chartered Status with some experience of Quantity Surveying gained within a professional consultancy environment. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to seek and build relationships with new and existing clients. You will also have excellent time management skills and sound technical competence.
