About the role:

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor we’re looking for will work closely with a Quantity Surveyor to support procurement and administrative tasks across specific projects. This is a full-time, office-based role (5 days a week), ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, accuracy and a passion for construction.

You’ll be responsible for managing procurement schedules, tracking materials, coordinating with suppliers and project teams, and assisting with budgeting and cost forecasting. This role is vital in ensuring materials are ordered, tracked, and delivered on time, and that project budgets are maintained and monitored effectively.

It’s a fast-paced, detail-driven environment, and the Assistant Quantity Surveyor we’re looking for needs to be organised, diligent, and a strong communicator. You’ll need to be confident working with Excel, reading drawings, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best outcomes for the business.

What we’re looking for:

• Procurement & Commercial Support: Experience in procurement, analysing quotes, placing orders, and tracking budgets.
• Accurate & Detail-Oriented: Able to manage procurement and materials schedules with precision.
• Strong Communicator & Relationship Builder: Comfortable coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Problem Solver: Able to respond to reactive procurement issues and site requests quickly and effectively.
• Numerate & IT Literate: Confident with financial tracking and Excel-based reporting.
• Construction Experience: Ideally at least 1 year in a similar role within the construction industry.
