Job Description
About the role:
Job Title: Assistant Share Schemes Manager
Location: Head Office, Leicestershire
Salary: Competitive base plus bonus & benefits
Ready for your next step with one of the UK’s most loved brands?
At
NEXT, we’re proud to be a trusted name in retail — with over 800 stores across the UK and Ireland, a thriving global online presence in 70+ countries, and a people-first culture that genuinely supports career growth.
We’re looking for an
Assistant Share Schemes Manager to join our close-knit Company Secretariat team. This opportunity has come up due to an internal promotion — a real reflection of how we support development and progression at every level.
This is a great opportunity to step into a specialist role where your skills in communication, coordination, and data analysis will have real impact. You’ll be central to the smooth delivery of our employee share plans — from day-to-day management to key milestones like grants, releases, and maturities.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and external advisors, helping colleagues across the business understand the value of their share scheme benefits — and ensuring we deliver them in the right way.
There’s also plenty of room to bring your ideas — we’ll look to you to help evolve and improve the way we work, from processes to communications.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating share plan activity (grants, releases, maturities) with third-party administrators and advisors
- Supporting the team through key share scheme events, always with a focus on brilliant service to colleagues
- Making complex information simple — helping colleagues engage with and understand their share schemes
- Analysing data to support internal reporting and identify opportunities for improvement
- Looking for ways to streamline and enhance processes, using insight and initiative
About you:
You don’t need to have ticked every box to apply — what matters most is your mindset and willingness to get stuck in. If you bring a curious, proactive attitude and love working in a collaborative environment, we’ll support you to grow into the role.
That said, here are some of the qualities that will help you thrive:
- A confident, analytical approach — you’re comfortable with data and detail
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
- Great communication — clear, professional, and people-focused
- A natural team player who builds positive relationships
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Flexible and open to change — someone who enjoys variety and challenge
