The Assistant Team Leader provides comprehensive operational support to activity in the Transaction Services Team (TST), working closely with the Team Leader, Senior Manager and Group Lead in our Corporate and Commercial (C&C) subteam to help manage the continued development and performance of Paralegals and Apprentices. The Assistant Team Leader will have a focus on the C&C subteam but will also have some wider responsibilities within the TST. This role can be based in any of our UK offices, with occasional travel to any of the other offices, as required.
What You'll Do:
• Allocation of work and management of operations.
• Receiving directives from internal clients, comprehending their needs, and assigning suitable resources from the C&C subteam.
• Overseeing the distribution of tasks and ensuring their completion.
• Guaranteeing the efficient and effective delivery of work.
• Conducting and enforcing quality control measures on assignments..
Who We're Looking For:
• Having experience in Corporate, Commercial, Competition, Finance Regulation, or Private Client work is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants should, however, be prepared to develop a thorough knowledge of the pertinent processes.
• Experience in supervision, as well as in establishing work processes and identifying "best practice" methods, is beneficial but not required.
• Outstanding skills in both written and verbal communication.
• The clear capacity to handle complex and evolving workloads with flexibility and efficiency.
• A pronounced inclination towards teamwork.
• The skill to manage several tasks and deadlines simultaneously while consistently ensuring a high level of attention to detail.
