Assistant Vice President - Commodities Compliance

Angove Partners is working with a leading Metals Broker Platform to recruit an Assistant Vice President in the Market Surveillance function, focused on commodities more specifically Metals. The team monitors Exchange Traded Derivatives and Over the Counter positions to ensure markets remain fair, transparent, and orderly. This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months with the possibility of a Full Time Role at the end.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Position Limit monitoring, Exemption Processing, and position management.
• Analyse ETD and OTC reports to identify abusive or distorting positions.
• Engage with position holders to understand strategies and challenge where needed.
• Assist with Lending Rules, market data reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Contribute to system development and process improvements.
• Provide reports, draft procedures, and support wider surveillance tasks.

Person Specification

• Experience in exchange-traded derivatives or commodities markets.
• Knowledge of Market Abuse Regulation.
• Background in surveillance, monitoring, or systems project work.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel; macros desirable.
• Detail-focused, proactive, reliable, and collaborative.
