Description
Amazon is looking for a talented associate corporate counsel to support our UK physical stores and same-day online grocery business. We work in a dynamic environment where pioneering on behalf of our customers is at the heart of everything we do. Our work is intellectually challenging, exciting and fast-paced.
The successful candidate will be an innovative, hands-on and customer-obsessed professional, with a flexible, can-do attitude and an ability to work independently in a constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment. You’ll need common sense, great judgment and a sense of humour!
The role is based in London, although some travel may be required.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, including end-to-end contract and licence administration, as well as research and projects. We are seeking an individual who will actively seek opportunities to simplify and develop scalable solutions to legal problems.
Additional responsibilities will include developing internal policies and procedures, as well as business training.
Basic Qualifications
- Exceptional academic qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification commercial legal experience, at a leading law firm and / or in a highly regarded in-house team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in grocery and / or retail
- UK or EU legally qualified
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with great attention to detail
- Proven drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be a trusted business partner
- Ability to work autonomously, multitask and prioritise in a fast-moving environment
- Great business judgment
