Manchester
Our Manchester office is seeking a highly motivated Associate Cost Consultant to join our expanding Cost Consultancy team within the Project & Development Services (PDS) division.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cost consultancy commissions on a wide range of property types, including commercial offices, mixed-use developments, retail, industrial, and public sector projects.
- Provide expert cost advice from inception through to completion, including feasibility studies, cost planning, procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and understanding client goals.
- Manage junior team members, offering mentorship and support in their development and training.
- Contribute to business development efforts and help grow the Cushman & Wakefield brand in the North West region.
- Produce accurate cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and value engineering advice.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, architects, and engineers.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations, and health & safety requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS accredited).
- Chartered (MRICS) or working toward chartership with RICS.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a cost consultancy or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of pre- and post-contract cost management, including JCT and NEC forms of contract.
- Experience in managing projects independently and mentoring junior team members.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
