As an AI Lead within our practice, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of finance. You'll collaborate with diverse teams of experts across Deloitte, leveraging your deep AI knowledge and industry experience to deliver cutting-edge solutions for our clients. You'll work across the entire project lifecycle, from initial strategy and design, through to implementation and business adoption, ensuring successful project outcomes and consistently meeting deadlines and budget constraints. This includes building and leading multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring robust risk management and governance. You will be instrumental in driving the adoption of advanced AI/ML services, helping organisations achieve their innovation and transformation goals through sophisticated AI architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engagement Management: Lead and manage multiple AI engagements simultaneously, overseeing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key client stakeholders, understanding their business challenges and providing strategic guidance on leveraging AI for transformative solutions.
• Solution Architecture: Define and design end-to-end AI/ML/LLM solution architectures, encompassing data ingestion, processing, model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of AI professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
• Delivery Oversight: Ensure the successful delivery of AI solutions, adhering to Deloitte's quality standards and methodologies.
• Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and presenting Deloitte's AI capabilities to potential clients.
• Business Adoption: Develop and implement strategies to drive the adoption and integration of AI solutions within the client's business operations, ensuring user acceptance and value realization.
• AI Risk, Controls & Governance: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with AI solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and ethical considerations, and establishing appropriate controls and governance frameworks.
• Multi-Disciplinary Model Teams: Build and lead multi-disciplinary teams consisting of data scientists, engineers, domain experts, and business stakeholders, fostering effective collaboration and communication throughout the AI project lifecycle.

Technical Proficiency:

• Extensive experience leading successful AI/ML project delivery in financial services; specific project examples required.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, architectures, and data engineering; Generative AI experience highly desirable. Strong familiarity with leading LLMs:
• AWS: Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock (Titan, Claude, etc.), CodeWhisperer, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Comprehend.
• Azure: Azure OpenAI Service (GPT, DALL-E, Codex), Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services.
• GCP: Vertex AI (PaLM 2, etc.), Generative AI Studio, AI Platform, Cloud Natural Language.
• Expertise in AI solution design, deployment strategies, and MLOps principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, Master’s or PhD or equivalent highly desirable.
• Extensive go-to-market experience in the AI and data field.
• Extensive of experience delivering AI solutions, with a proven track record of leading and managing complex engagements.
• Deep experience in the financial services industry.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong business acumen and experience in a client-facing consulting role.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, Azure AI Engineer Associate, PMP) are a plus.

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
