Associate Director, Global Communications Investments, Middle Eastern Sovereign Wealth Fund (Role based in GCC)

Background:

Our client, a global top-10 sovereign wealth fund, is looking to hire an investment professional to join its Global Communications Investments team as an Associate Director.

This opportunity is based in the Gulf and targets candidates with approximately 15 years of experience across TMT investment banking, private equity, or corporate M&A. The role is focused on direct investments in the telecoms, data centres, and satellite sectors, with an emphasis on Europe and North America.

The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing high-impact global transactions within one of the world's largest long-term capital pools, supporting the fund’s mandate to drive economic diversification and future-proofed returns.

Requirements:

• Circa 15 years of experience in TMT-focused investment banking, private equity, or corporate development
• Track record in executing complex telecoms, data infrastructure, and/or satellite deals
• Background in a bulge-bracket bank, top-tier PE firm, or blue-chip TMT corporate
• Exposure to European and/or North American markets preferrable
• Strong financial modelling, due diligence, and negotiation capabilities
