Eversheds Sutherlands’ Employment Law team is one of the largest in the world with more than 220 qualified lawyers globally. This role is primarily Leeds or Manchester based but you would work in teams across the UK and further afield on cross office client service teams on a daily basis. Our Leeds/Manchester team is one of our largest UK teams and can offer you opportunities to work with fantastic clients across the full range of disciplines, as well as the support network to progress your career. Our team has an outstanding reputation for delivering quality advice, in the format our clients want, on time and on budget. We also work closely with various government departments and agencies and employers' groups to ensure, as new law is drafted, that it is fit for purpose and reflects the commercial needs of our clients.

Role And Key Responsibilities

We are looking to expand the team and have an opportunity for a lawyer with circa 0-4 PQE who would be interested in being part of an energetic team of specialist Employment solicitors within a challenging and rewarding area of law. Team members carry out leading work for major organisations making the law as well as advising on it. The resources of an international firm allow all of our lawyers to produce their best work and use their imagination as well as legal skills to provide a great service to our clients.

Ideally candidates will have the ability to deal with the competing demands of clients which arise from involvement in a number of separate transactions at once and have the ability to work flexibly to tight deadlines as well the ability to demonstrate the delivery of excellent client care, including advising clients on high profile cases. You will work directly with the Partners and wider team to particularly support our clients on complex Employment Tribunal litigation, as well as with non-contentious advice and project work across a number of sectors including a particular focus on education, as well as in the technology, transport, pharma, retail, industrials, and utilities sectors.

Skills And Experience

We are looking for:

• Experience working in an Employment team - ideally with 0-4 PQE
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently at times.
• Experience of working in a national team of lawyers.
• Responsive to change and can innovate to accommodate clients’ needs and provide commercial solutions to maximise value for the client.
• Excellent IT Skills to deliver innovative advice solutions.
• A commitment of delivering quality service is essential, as is the ability to handle the demands of a heavy workload
