Permira Credit are seeking to recruit a Middle Office / Operations professional to join the European CLO platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key operational link supporting the European CLO platform and partnering closely with the Portfolio Manager and investment team.
- Manage end-to-end investor reporting processes, including payment dates and waterfall tie-outs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee CLO warehouse closings, liaising with structuring, legal, and counterparties.
- Track and validate effective date reporting for new deals and refinancings.
- Reconcile trustee and agent reports to internal systems, resolving discrepancies.
- Track hypothetical trades and monitor portfolio compliance with CLO documentation and investment limitations.
- Coordinate closely with front office, risk, and compliance teams on transaction lifecycle.
- Maintain operational controls and audit trails in line with regulatory standards.
- Manage vendor relationships (trustees, administrators, custodians, data providers).
- Review and approve service provider deliverables to ensure SLA adherence.
- Monitor and process CLO warehouse drawings and repayments accurately.
- Contribute to system enhancements, process automation, and continuous improvement of middle office policies and procedures
Desired Experience / Background
- 4–7 years’ experience in middle office / operations within CLOs, leveraged loans, or structured credit.
- Proficient user of CLO reporting platforms (e.g., WSO, LevPro) with strong Excel skills; exposure to Alteryx, VBA, or other automation tools a plus.
- Deep understanding of CLO structures, cashflow waterfalls, and investor reporting requirements.
- Solid knowledge of CLO documentation, portfolio compliance tests, and regulatory obligations.
- Highly organised with a control mindset, strong attention to detail, and proven delivery under deadlines.
- Clear and confident communicator – fluent English required; other European languages an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to build effective relationships with Portfolio Managers, trustees, agents, and administrators.
- Comfortable multi-tasking across multiple transactions, balancing speed with accuracy.
- Curious, analytical, and eager to streamline processes, challenge inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
