SLR is looking for an experienced and driven GIS Analyst to join our expanding Geospatial & Data Solutions team.
The role, based in our London office, will offer an opportunity to lead our international Geospatial projects and be involved in shaping and growing SLR’s digital ambitions alongside your personal development as part of a busy and collaborative European team.
Our G&DS team provides expert support and advice on geospatial data analysis and developing bespoke digital tools. We work on multidisciplinary projects alongside other technical disciplines as well as standalone GIS projects for a range of external clients. Projects are primarily located throughout Europe and Africa but with an ever-growing focus on more widely spread international opportunities. Projects are interesting, challenging and varied and our clients come from a range of sectors including Infrastructure, Mining & Minerals, Oil & Gas and Power.

The role
Role
As an Associate GIS Analyst your role will be to provide and lead mapping and analysis support to the wide variety of Technical Disciplines. The role will include:
- Project Leadership: Driving the full lifecycle of international GIS projects—from planning to implementation and post-delivery review. Experience with large-scale cable routing, hydropower, and pipeline infrastructure is highly desirable
- Global Coordination: Aligning goals and timelines across international teams and clients, fostering seamless cross-border collaboration
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in GIS tools and platforms, including ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, and cloud-based spatial services. Advanced knowledge of QGIS, QField and integration of SurveyCTO would be beneficial
- Tailored GIS Solutions: Designing and deploying scalable GIS strategies that reflect regional variations and meet international project specifications
- Budget & Resource Management: Overseeing GIS budgets and ensure efficient distribution of workload to ensure cost-effective project delivery
- Compliance & Standards Management: Ensuring adherence to client standards and data integrity —while navigating varied standards across diverse project types
- Cross-Cultural Communication: Leveraging strong intercultural communication skills and experience collaborating with globally distributed teams
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working effectively across disciplines such as ecology, landscape architecture, social sciences, hydrology, and cultural heritage
- Data Translation & Integration: Interpretating and handling of complex datasets sourced from a wide range of disciplines and formats
- Assisting the Regional Geospatial Hub Lead in expanding the South-east geospatial offerings across the international and technical teams to grow and diversify project pipelines
- Building and demonstrating an awareness of the regional business strategy and engaging with cross-selling opportunities within the business
- Contributing to the smooth operation of the GIS team through active participation in team resource calls, supervision systems, and knowledge sharing
- Proactively engaging with the community and embracing the SLR ‘One Team’ culture
About You
We are looking for an experienced, well-established GIS Analyst with:
- Expertise in the use of ESRI ArcGIS, database management, and software extensions
- Experience designing and managing web applications in AGOL environments
- Proven track record of leading and delivering the GIS aspect of large-scale projects
- Good organisational skills with a proven ability to work to deadlines, to deliver to a consistent high standard with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to develop and understand requirements for complex field data collection methods and applications
- Competency in QGIS/QField and integration with SurveyCTO
- A proactive approach to learning and contributing to team development
