Team Overview: This position is with LaSalle Investment Management’s Debt and Value-Add Strategies team (the “Team”), a specialist business which invests fund capital into real estate debt and value-add equity investments across Europe. The team was set up in 2010 and has become one the largest providers of alternative finance on commercial real estate in Europe. LaSalle's Investment Management’s Debt Investment team (the “Debt Team”) are a specialist business which invests fund capital into structured real estate debt investments across Europe. The Debt Team’s investment products include mezzanine, levered whole loans, development, and senior debt investments. The Debt Team was set up in 2010 and has become one the largest providers of alternative finance on commercial real estate in Europe, having invested €6bn in c.100 transactions as of Q3 2023. The Debt Team successfully raised €6.2bn of capital since 2010 across its senior secured, high-yield, and development investment vehicles. The Debt Team is actively exploring new opportunities and investment strategies that complement the platform’s existing investment vehicles.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
This role will work within the Portfolio Management, Debt Investments team, and the main responsibilities will be:
- Develop, maintain, and take ownership of fund financial models, collaborating with cross-functional teams (finance, asset management and transaction team) to consolidate related data.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis on both fund-level and asset-level performance to senior management and investors.
- Prepare detailed quarterly reports for internal stakeholders and external investors.
- Prepare and manage ad-hoc investor reporting including (but not limited to) fund due diligence questionnaires, fund cash flow projections as well as ESG reporting.
- Support capital raising efforts by producing high-quality marketing and investor pitch book on quarterly basis.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 - 3 years of experience, this person will be at a level of second year Analyst equivalent in banking terms.
- Must have knowledge & experience in analysing and modelling complex deals and financial structures.
- Must be proficient in financial modelling in Excel.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Adaptability to changing business needs
- Collaborative approach with proven team engagement skills
- Analytical thinking with focus on business outcomes
- Familiarity with more complex capital structures, including the ability to analyse financial statements would be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical rigor is key to the role.
- Good understanding and an interest in real estate investments and knowledge of debt investments would be advantageous.
- A team player with excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- European languages an advantage although not a must.
- Energetic and self-motivated, with an ability to work independently and show initiative.
