This Position reports to:
Service Operations Manager
In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of small installation, commissioning, and start-up projects for new ABB UPS systems within the UK. Managing the project related tasks and milestones, whilst coordinating with all relevant stakeholders from order acceptance to final handover.
You will also maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements and all targets are met, providing excellent service at every stage of the project.
Homebased role reporting into our Coleshill site with regular travel to other ABB sites and occasional nationwide travel to customer sites as necessary.

Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
- Working alongside the existing Service Project Manager, planning day to day activities for the field service engineering team.
- Working alongside the order management team and the logistic companies to ensure safe and on time delivery of parts.
- Responsible for risk & method statements (RAMS) which are to be issued to engineers and customers.
- Ensure submitted engineer work reports are checked, stored and submitted to the customer in a timely manner in accordance with our policies and contract KPIs
- Working with suppliers and subcontractors and other ABB functions to coordinate projects.
- Carrying out sustainability observational tours (SOTs) regularly. Ensuring engineers are working efficiency and in line with ABB polices and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
- Analyzing and addressing project risks, and regularly disseminating lessons learned.
- Building strong relationships with the field service team and customers.
Qualifications For The Role
- 1-2 years of experience in project and/or service coordination, working in UPS industry.
- Demonstrate experience in engineer coordination and UPS service management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and Project based platforms would be an advantage.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong English written and spoken communication skills.
- A HNC, HND or degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Practical experience with 18th Edition installation or field services for UPS and Prince 2 project management certification would be an advantage
