Associate Quantity Surveyor | Senior Project Surveyor | Boutique Cost and Project Management Consultancy |
Up to £85,000 plus pension and mileage/business travel covered
Location: Primarily remote with site visits across the UK (South East) as required
- Candidates will need to be living within an hours commute of Cambridgeshire or Hertfordshire* Whilst we appreciate it is “remote role” the successful candidate will be required to attend monthly meetings in the office and as and when required. Applications from outside of this region will not be considered as projects are also within the Southern Home Counties.
Role Overview
Our client is a privately owned and operated boutique cost management and project management consultancy who operate predominantly within the private care home sector. They do also work outside of this on commercial and private residential commissions, for bespoke new build residences. Your commercial expertise will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for care home construction projects
with values up to £20m.
- Develop and manage procurement programs and tender processes.
- Monitor and control project cash flows and financial forecasts.
- Evaluate and authorise subcontractor payments and manage contracts.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with project
specifications.
- Collaborate with external project managers, architects and engineers to align on
project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related
field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably within the care
home, residential or healthcare sector.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards.
