Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Associate to join our highly regarded Real Estate team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners on high-profile matters for a diverse client base, including institutional investors, developers, corporates, and public sector bodies.
Professional Excellence
- Advise on a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, lettings, development projects, and asset management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of real estate documents, such as sale and purchase agreements, leases, development agreements, and ancillary documentation.
- Manage your own matters with appropriate supervision, taking responsibility for progressing transactions efficiently and effectively.
Client
- Act as a point of contact for clients, responding promptly to queries and providing clear, commercially focused advice.
- Develop an understanding of clients' businesses and objectives, ensuring advice is tailored to their needs.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with the preparation of client pitches, presentations, and other business development activities.
- Contribute to the development of client relationships and the identification of new business opportunities.
- Maintain an awareness of market trends and developments relevant to the real estate sector.
People & Team
- Work closely with partners, senior associates, and other team members on complex transactions, contributing to the delivery of high-quality work.
- Support and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practice.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and know-how initiatives to support your ongoing development.
Quality & Risk Management
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all work meets the firm's high standards of quality and risk management.
- Identify and escalate any issues or inconsistencies as appropriate.
Essential Skills And Experience
Mid level lawyer with real estate and development experience;
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 2-5 years' post-qualification experience in real estate, gained at a leading law firm.
- Solid experience of advising on a range of real estate transactions, with a good understanding of the commercial drivers in the sector.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and practical advice.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Collaborative team player, committed to supporting colleagues and contributing to the success of the team.
- Client-focused, with a professional approach and a genuine interest in building client relationships.
- Enthusiastic about developing your expertise and progressing your career within a top-tier real estate practice.
