Pinner Wood is looking for a warm, organised, and enthusiastic person to join our school team as an
Attendance and Welfare Officer.
This is an important role that involves looking after pupil attendance as well as supporting the health and welfare needs of our children. You will be a key person pupils turn to when they are feeling unwell or need care during the school day, so kindness and a calm manner are essential. Alongside this, you will also support our SENCO and office team with general admin tasks and sometimes cover the front desk.
Why Choose Us
This is an exciting time to join our thriving primary school, recently rated outstanding by OFSTED. We are committed to providing the best educational opportunities for our students and families. We are currently in the process of transforming our office to ensure it is more efficient and effective. This role is a very key role in the team.
We offer:
- A caring school
- Well-resourced school
- A supportive and friendly staff team
- A commitment to supporting staff well-being
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in a primary school
- Has experience and/or knowledge of first aid
- Is kind, caring and supportive, especially with children who come to welfare
- Can multi-task and prioritise in a busy school environment
- Has strong attention to detail
- Communicates clearly and confidently - both in writing and in person
- Works well in a team but is also confident working on their own
- Builds positive relationships with children, staff and families
- Is confident using IT systems like ARBOR, Medical Tracker, Word and Excel
- Can work well with other professionals both inside and outside of school
This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to play a part in making their school experience a happy and safe one. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
Pinner Wood School is committed to providing equality of opportunity and safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff to share this commitment.
