Audio-Visual team, supporting AV services across their estate in London.
What Youll Do
As an AV Technician, youll ensure the smooth running of
MS Teams meeting rooms, hybrid conferences, and council events, including Democratic services. Youll provide
first and second-line support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain AV equipment across the estate. Flexibility is key, as some events may be outside normal office hours.
Main Responsibilities
- Set up and operate PTZ cameras, audio and vision mixers, projectors, and displays for hybrid and in-person events
- Maintain and troubleshoot AV hardware, signal flow, and cabling
- Perform preventative maintenance and document activities
- Manage inventory and ensure safe storage of all AV equipment
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate technical concepts clearly to all staff levels
- Support digital signage and specialist AV systems
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of AV fundamentals and experience with 1st & 2nd line support
- Experience with video conferencing, MS Teams, H323/H320 codecs, Poly (HP) Teams studio
- Knowledge of digital signage technology, AV hardware/software (Qsys, Dante, UCX Matrix, Sennheiser Teams-Connect microphones)
- Basic IT networking knowledge
- Experience with IT Service Management systems
- Crestron/Qsys programming knowledge is a plus (not essential)
