Development of tools, resources & thought leadership
- Maintain and develop a central knowledge base, including guides, manuals, and technical updates.
- Publish thought leadership content and represent the firm in shaping responses to industry developments.
Driving quality & compliance
- Contribute to internal quality reviews, supporting the firm’s system of quality management.
- Liaise with external regulators and support teams during external reviews.
- Embed regulatory requirements into practical, usable guidance for teams.
Strategic direction
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes (UK and international) and ensure our audit approach is future-ready.
- Build specialisms in key client sectors, delivering tailored guidance and insight.
- Champion professional development within the team and across the wider audit practice.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who can blend technical rigour with practical insight. You’ll ideally bring:
- ACA / ACCA qualification (or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards, financial reporting (FRS 102, IFRS), and ethical requirements.
- Proven experience in a technical, quality, or senior audit leadership role within a professional services environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Experience liaising with regulatory bodies (e.g. ICAEW, FRC) is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to technical queries.
- Sector expertise in areas such as not-for-profit, financial services, or large private entities is advantageous.
