Automation Engineer

Cambridge

£51,000 – £70,000 + 15% Bonus + Lots of other benefits

Monday – Friday | 08:30 – 17:00

What you’ll own:

Deliver planned and reactive support for automation and production IT systems, keeping high volume operations running flawlessly.
Lead automation activity across capital projects, from system upgrades to major improvements.
Drive continuous improvement, championing new technologies and smarter ways of working.
Resolve obsolescence issues and implement system enhancements that strengthen reliability.
Support business critical IT systems linked to plant operations, collaborating across engineering, quality and tech teams.

What you’ll bring:

Degree in a relevant technical/engineering discipline.
Strong experience across automation, controls, PLCs, HMIs and SCADA.
Proven capability to lead automation/IT maintenance and project tasks.
Background in GMP/GAMP or other regulated environments.
Experience with serialisation tracking, vision systems and production IT.
A methodical, solutions driven approach.
