Are you a seasoned Python Test Automation expert ready to lead innovation and quality across complex systems? We’re hiring an Automation Test Lead / Architect to design, implement, and lead a high-performance test automation function.
📍 Location: Edinburgh, UK (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite at Gogarburn)

What You’ll Do:
- Architect scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks using Python.
- Mentor and lead a talented team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape test strategies, plans, and execution roadmaps.
- Champion automation best practices and ensure excellence in delivery and code quality.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide visibility, and manage expectations.
- Identify gaps in current testing processes and implement strategies for efficiency and coverage.
- Drive timely and successful completion of testing milestones.
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in software testing, with a core focus on Python automation.
- Proven success in building test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Hands-on expertise with:
- PyTest
- Selenium
- REST API testing
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and SDLC processes.
- Leadership capabilities with a track record of mentoring QA teams.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and expectation management.
- Proactive, self-driven mindset with ownership of quality initiatives.
