Position Overview

The Sr. Deployment Operations Project Manager (DOPM) leads the full lifecycle of design, scheduling, and deployment of collaborative video conferencing (VC) and AV systems in new or remodeled client offices. This includes digital signage, event production spaces, demo environments, and more. The DOPM partners closely with Facilities and IT to ensure seamless integration of technology into physical spaces, aligning with construction timelines and standards. This role requires strong project leadership, technical expertise, and cross-functional coordination.

What You’ll Do

• Lead cross-functional teams and third-party vendors from project planning through post-deployment review.
• Prioritize tasks for Deployment Coordinators and support Deployment Engineers on non-standard deployments.
• Oversee design, procurement, deployment, and commissioning of AV/VC systems in office builds.
• Provide regular project updates via Asana, communicating risks and technical issues proactively.
• Apply client standards to determine design, bill of materials, and drawings in collaboration with design engineers.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
• Conduct site visits and perform testing and commissioning with vendors.
• Use AutoCAD for light drafting and markup of design intent.
• Participate in Bluebeam sessions for design reviews and documentation sign-off.
  
  
  

Skills And Abilities

• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and schematics.
• Experienced in managing AV/VC deployments in enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills across platforms (e.g., Workplace Chat, Cisco Webex, email).
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving project-related issues.
• Budget management and multi-project coordination across regions.
• Time management with a proactive approach to identifying roadblocks.
• Understanding of AV system functionality and installation techniques.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (beginner to intermediate) and Bluebeam Revu (intermediate).
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  
  
  

What You Need To Succeed

• 7+ years of project management experience in a technical field (AV/VC, Networking, IT Construction, etc.).
• Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or equivalent.
• PMP or similar certification (e.g., Prince2) preferred.
• Strong task management and communication skills with a focus on follow-through.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
• Team-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Confident decision-maker with accountability for project outcomes.
• Experience managing external vendors and integration efforts.
