AsanAVSupportTechnician,you'llleadthedeliveryofbest-in-classsupportforoursystemstoournationwidenetworkofcustomers.ReportingtotheTechnicalSupportLead,you'llcollaboratewithvariousinternalandexternalstakeholderstoensureanycustomerissuesareresolvedquickly,minimisinganydisruption.

Thisrolewillprimarilyfocusonservingastheprimarypointofcontactforourcustomerswhentheyencounterissueswiththeirhardware/software/peripherals.TheidealcandidatewillhaveastrongtechnicalbackgroundinAVtechnologiesandaproventrackrecordinprovidingclassleadingcustomerserviceastherewillbeanelementofcallhandlingandthendealingwiththeissuesinthebackground.ThisrolerequiresclosecollaborationwithourEngineering,SupportandDesignteams,aswellaswith3rdpartystakeholdertosupportourdeliveryofbest-in-classsolutions.

Thecompanypridesitselfonensuringthatallournewemployeesareprovidedwiththetrainingandtoolsnecessarytoperformtheirroleseffectively.Aswithmostindustriesbeinga2ndLinesupportTechniciancomeswitharangeofdifferentproblemsdaily.Youwillalsobeactivelyinvolvedwithongoingprojects,installingandsupportinginhousesoftwaredeployments.

Thisrolewouldsuitsomeonewhoismethodicalintheirproblem-solving,calmunderpressure,andabletoworktooccasionallytightdeadlines.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillneedtobeorganisedandwillingtoundertakethenecessaryadministrativetasksassociatedwiththerole.

JobRequirements

AgoodunderstandingofMicrosoftWindowsDesktopEnvironment

Strongnetworkingskills.Understandingsetupandnetworkingsignalchain.Fromline,socket,router,switch,PCs

Confidentwithconfiguringrouters,switchesandfirewalls

ExperiencewithVNC,settingupP2Pmachinesandremotesupport.

Pi,Linuxexperienceisadvantageous,butnotessential.

ExpectationtoconfiguresoftwareonPCsremotely;Varietyofaudio&streamingsoftware.

Proactiveapproachtoworkingthroughissuesandproblemsolvingmindset

LongtermstrategyplanningIdentifyingandflaggingrootcause/endoflifeequipmentthatupgradingwillleadtolongtermissuereduction

Youwillbeproviding2ndlinetechnicalsupport,remotely,toourcustomers,withsomescopeforadhocsitevisits,whereyourskillsetisrequired.
