Exciting Opportunity: Avionic Fitter / Wireman
We're on the hunt for a highly skilled Avionic Fitter / Wireman for a 3-month contract (with potential for extension). This role is vital for maintaining the safety and airworthiness of helicopters within our Installations department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks under the Installation Supervisor or Certifying Engineer's guidance.
- Manufacture electrical looms and avionic systems in alignment with design data.
- Conduct both on-aircraft and off-aircraft workshop tasks.
- Assist with aircraft movements and general housekeeping in the hangar.
- Participate in shift work and maintain flexibility.
- Adhere to high standards of Health & Safety and use appropriate PPE.
- Remove and refit panels and cowlings, and carry out repairs to aircraft wiring looms.
- Collaborate closely with the design office.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience with helicopter systems.
- Skilled in manufacturing wiring looms, soldering, crimping, and using specialised test equipment.
- Ability to accurately interpret wiring diagrams.
- Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in Google Office, SAP, and MS products is desirable.
Education & Qualifications:
- Completed formal aviation apprenticeship or related discipline.
- Experience with Airbus Helicopters.
- Initial Human Factors training.
- Valid driving licence.
- Obtain basic Security Clearance for Oxford Airport.
