AWS Cloud Architect

London

Up to £88,000 + Bonus & Car Allowance

VIQU have partnered with a leading organisation that is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping and maintaining enterprise cloud environments, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient. You’ll work closely with internal teams and partners to deliver innovative solutions, provide technical assurance, and help drive the organisation’s cloud strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities of the AWS Cloud Architect:

Act as a subject matter expert for AWS cloud technologies and architectural best practice.
Design and deliver Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
Drive automation, monitoring, and performance optimisation across AWS environments.
Oversee security, compliance, and cost governance to meet organisational standards.
Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues within the Cloud and DevOps teams.
Produce clear technical documentation and translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.

Key Requirements of the AWS Cloud Architect:

Proven track record in designing and managing large-scale AWS environments.
Strong skills in Terraform and CI/CD pipeline development.
AWS Architect certification (Associate level or above).
Broad understanding of AWS services including networking, compute, storage, IAM, and serverless.
Experience with cloud security frameworks, ITIL-aligned practices, and enterprise architecture methodologies (TOGAF / BCS).
Containerisation and orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes).
Programming and scripting skills, ideally Python.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience with modern data lake / lakehouse architectures (desired)
AWS Professional certification (desired)
