Job Title: AWS Cloud & Infrastructure Lead

6 months fixed term contract with possible extension
Role Overview:
As the AWS Cloud and Infrastructure Lead, you will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions using AWS. You will lead a team of cloud engineers and architects, drive strategic cloud initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture & Strategy
- Design and implement robust AWS cloud architectures.
- Develop and execute cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead cloud migration and transformation initiatives.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage and mentor a team of AWS engineers and architects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Application Development.
- Provide technical guidance and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Infrastructure Management
- Oversee deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of AWS infrastructure.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of cloud resources.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on AWS.
- Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and cloud projects.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote or hybrid environment.
