About the Role -


As the AWS Public Cloud Team Manager, you will lead a team of AWS specialists and strategically drive the AWS sales proposition from a commercial perspective. You will collaborate with Divisional Sales Directors, Sales Managers, and the Cloud Pre-sales Manager to align sales approaches and campaigns, aiming to drive profitable sales of services, managed services, large scale transformation projects, and complementary vendor solutions within your team. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments across the organisation to foster a culture of excellence. By setting a strong example and effectively guiding your team to help them reach their highest potential.


Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage a team of AWS specialists, ensuring they are aligned to Bytes values and strategy, foster a high-performance culture and maximise each team members potential.
  • Monitor the teams performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and aligned targets. Where required, work on an individual's development and improvement if they are not met.
  • Drive the AWS sales proposition from a strategic commercial standpoint, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Provide AWS Commercial Sales support to Account Managers and their customers to drive opportunities forward.
  • Develop and implement strategies within the AWS specialist team to drive profitable sales across the team.
  • Contribute to the development of the AWS proposition, helping to create standardised and consistent processes and ensuring adherence by the AWS Specialist team.
  • Developing know-how, best practice and driving creative thinking within the team.
  • Assist with the creation of sales/pre-sales collateral, as well as maintaining content and knowledge.
  • Represent Bytes at customer events such as conferences, discussion forums, training events, webinars and live customer facing events.
  • Work with key AWS Stakeholders to increase Bytes credibility as a leading partner and align to their customer engagements to reduce the sales cycle


Qualifications


  • 5+ Years delivering IT solutions and services, centred around supporting the sales function commercially in delivering IT Transformation or Infrastructure Migration or Modernisation projections.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Bytes managed services & complimentary vendors
  • An understanding of the Bytes Partner Eco-system
  • Knowledge of AWS procurement methods (CSP,MCA,EA,SCE,PAYG) and the billing mechanisms for cost effectiveness (Reserved instances, Hybrid benefits, Savings plans Etc).
  • Understanding of how AWS funding programs operate and how and when to leverage them for customer projects.
  • Experience/evidence of technical thought leadership (blog posts, articles, podcasts, etc).
  • Qualifying new sales opportunities bought to you by Account managers
  • Proactivity with sales teams, ensuring they are aware of you and your role / responsibilities
  • Regular touch with Sales Teams to ensure awareness of relevant programs and offerings
  • Engagement with Bytes wider propositions to help identify further opportunities in our customer base.
