Job title: Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Salary: £60,000 – £95,000 (DOE)

Location: North West, UK (Primarily remote with ad-hoc travel to clients)

About the Role

The business are seeking a experienced Azure DevOps Engineers to deliver enterprise scale Microsoft projects for a key customer of theirs in the Utilities sector. This is a cloud platform delivery project, supporting the deployment and operation of Azure-based infrastructure and AI-enabled services.

This is an opportunity to join fast-moving project, delivering high-impact solutions while contributing to a longer-term platform and engineering strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the deployment of Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitHub Pipelines
Work closely with solution architects and platform engineers to deliver scalable, secure cloud environments
Support the integration and deployment of AI services

, including Azure OpenAI, Foundry, and Intelligent Documentation

Contribute to platform engineering initiatives and backend deployment activities

Ensure best practices across automation, reliability, and cloud governance

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including VNETs, subnets, and networking fundamentals
Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
Solid knowledge of GitHub workflows and automation
Programming experience in Python (preferred for AI integration), as well as C# and .NET
Familiarity with deploying AI or data-driven components in cloud environments
