The Role
To support accelerated business growth and enable of client-driven commercial decisions through the development, delivery and evolution of an insights roadmap and strategy for B2B/2C audiences.
Outcomes of the Role
- Develop a strong understanding of specific insight needs of B2B/2C audiences and ensure we have the appropriate roster of research methodologies and service providers to meet it
- Understand segment business strategy and translate this into workable research briefs/projects roadmap and then drive client insight through to impactful recommendations and actions.
- Work with relevant business units and functions, gathering research requirements and executing against research briefs – ensuring engagement throughout each stage resulting in usable insight.
- Lead/manage multiple projects and research initiatives across Rathbones, leveraging a range of insights (qual and quant) to solve client problems
- Raise own and others’ awareness of how research can be best integrated into proposition and service design, with strong focus on commercial viability
- Analyse client, industry and market trends, and present commercially-driven client-centric recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Involvement in organising and leading workshops, co-creation/ideation sessions and presentations.
- Communication of insights in a compelling way across variety of formats.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Background in financial services and wealth management.
- Qualified in Market Research Insight design and delivery.
- Ideally project management (e.g. Prince 2) or Agile/lean ways of working
- Ideally degree-level
- Strong awareness of how research can be best integrated into proposition and service design – ensuring commercial viability – understanding client journey by segments.
- Naturally curious and interested problem solver, able to think conceptually and work collaboratively to solve client problems.
- Good knowledge of Wealth Management and Investment Industry, commercial and regulatory frameworks and of key industry data sources.
- Analytically strong with ability to identify and interpret data from multiple sources and make commercially sound recommendations.
- Technical knowledge, familiar with a wide range of research and insight tools and platforms.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, able to lead working groups and work collaboratively.
- Flexible, attentive to different stakeholders and manage projects, able to work at pace towards good outcomes
