I’m partnering with a well funded, early stage AI x cybersecurity startup that’s tackling one of the messiest problems in modern engineering: how to use AI agents to cut through noise and drive real decisions in production systems.

This is not a “keep the lights on” backend role.

This is a core product, high ownership, build it properly from day one kind of opportunity.

🔧 What you’ll actually be doing

Designing and building backend systems (Python-led) that support AI agent workloads
Owning features end to end, from design through to deployment and iteration

Integrating LLMs and ML components into robust, production ready services

Thinking deeply about performance, reliability, and security from day one

Working closely with product and design in a fast moving, no nonsense team

This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership, ambiguity and building things properly.

🧩 What they’re looking for

7+ years backend engineering experience in production environments
Strong fundamentals across APIs, data stores, and system design
Exposure to (or strong interest in) LLMs, AI agents, or ML powered systems
Comfortable working in cloud environments with modern DevOps practices
Someone who thrives in early stage environments and enjoys moving fast

Experience with tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar is a nice to have, not a blocker.
