Mission will include:
- Discover new clients, new opportunities and new business lines in the regions above described.
- Collaborate in defining/implementing the commercial strategy for the GBSS business and setting the unit business plan & budget taking into account the market drivers and investors’ appetite.
- Generate recurrent income to meet revenues targets that are set each year in the Global Sales unit and Global Sales & Structuring overall budget.
- Advice, design, structure, create, sell and promote among institutional clients of ad-hoc solutions. Interacting permanently with clients & identifying new business opportunities.
- Drive the origination of commercial opportunities with existing and new banks and other institutional clients, managing a specific client portfolio.
- Encourage the coordination and strategic alignment with other GM/CIB areas to reinforce BBVA GM product trading and structured product development capabilities.
- Drive the interaction with Risk unit for negotiating approvals.
- Lead a key role in promoting the bank's positioning a key player in the market in the region.
- Ensure that the unit activity complies with internal & external operational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Introduce the unit activity with new institutional clients both to internal and external clients.
- Report to the in-line Sales Manager on a periodic and ad-hoc basis about main unit activity.
Requirements:
Background and previous experience:
- Msc Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Phd in Management or Finance or MsC in Finance + MBA.
- Sales executive with +7 years of proven experience in the coverage of financial institutions in the UK, Ireland, Nordics, Benelux and/or Switzerland.
- The individual should have previous experience in structuring or marketing derivatives, investment solutions, structured finance sales, balance sheet
- solutions and asset structuring.
- Relevant contacts in banks, insurance, CLO managers, large family offices, asset managers and specialist financial institutions would be a plus.
- Solid knowledge of Finance, Mathematics.
Language skills:
- English: fluent
- Spanish is highly valuable but not necessary.
