Job Overview
The Facilities Supervisor is a member of the LPT Estates and Facilities team. The postholder will support the Facilities Co-ordinator in the delivery of high-quality soft facilities services and be responsible for managing the effective and efficient delivery of local site services and facilities on a day-to-day basis.
37.5hrs per week, the postholder will be expected to work a variety of shifts patterns covering weekends & bank holidays.
The postholder will report to the Facilities Co-ordinator and will be responsible for ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with National Standards, are compliant and that patients and visitors are treated in a safe and appropriate environment and staff have the ability to effectively deliver the required care. On occasions will be expected to deputise for the Facilities Co-ordinator.
The postholder will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with good communication, organisational skills and analytical approaches to problem solving. You will have the ability to promote the Facilities department and present a customer focused service and to develop, learn and apply new skills and keep up to date with technological progression.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)
Line management of Facilities staff.
Produce orders to ensure maintain adequate stock levels.
Responsible for raising requisitions (using Saffron), receipting goods & inspecting deliveries. Receiving & signing for deliveries & processing invoices.
Responsible for leadership & guidance of the Facilities staff, often supervising multiple roles & promoting an environment of operational excellence serving the frontline connection between excellent customer service to our patients & customers & employee engagement.
To ensure staff adhere to the Trust colour coding system to prevent cross infection.
To ensure staff preparing meal for & regeneration of patient meals at ward level adhering to Trust Food Safety Management policies & procedures at all times.
Reporting defects immediately using agreed systems.
Implement deep cleaning when necessary including use of hydrogen peroxide decontamination machines, steam cleaning, carpet cleaning, changing curtains etc.
