An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dedicated and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our highly experienced and supportive Acute Medical and Front Door Team. This post will provide specialist patient care and treatment on the acute medicals wards and front door areas.
We are looking for an OT or Physio with a special interest in acute and emergency care patients, and experience in the assessment and treatment of these patients. You will have outstanding interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering excellent patient centered care to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Active involvement in training and development of yourself and others is a key requirement. You will participate in service improvement, new models of working, clinical audit, and continued professional development.
Within Acute Therapies we will offer professional support and an individualised job plan which includes protected service development time and regular clinical supervision. There will be opportunities to contribute to wider departmental developments via working party groups and signposting and support for continuous professional development.

You will be expected to contribute to the weekend working service and, our emergency respiratory on-call rota (Physiotherapist).
Provide clinical/ treatment to acute patients within the scope of Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy.
Assist in planning, monitoring and implementing clinical service policies and patient care pathways.
Be actively involved in developing teaching and training programmes for therapy staff.
Keep up to date with developments in acute medicine and emergency care, supporting audit to evaluate practice and participating in research as appropriate.
Work with all team disciplines to develop flexible inter-disciplinary / multi-agency work practices which enhance outcomes for patients.
Undertake a clinical case load, to a high professional standard, using knowledge from theoretical and practical experience.
