BHRUT is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic midwife to join our team as a band 7 senior Midwife to join our Labour ward as a coordinator. If you are an NMC registered midwife who has an NMC PIN Number and would like to make a difference to women and their families, then we would like to hear from you.
The post holder will continue to develop their leadership skills by enhancing both professional and personal development. By joining our team you will have the opportunity to bring your wealth of knowledge and experience to our maternity service and play a key role in supporting staff and improving care provided.
Working closely with the specialty Maternity Matron and Deputy Matron to manage the midwifery and nursing staff and resources within the ward/department areas to provide high quality and cost-effective clinical care.
Working closely with the Lead Midwives to develop and promote Midwifery/clinical practice. He/she will set and monitor both clinical and non-clinical performance standards and to intervene to secure an immediate remedy where there is shortfall, in conjunction with obstetric colleagues. Our Senior Midwifery Manager posts at BHRUT are rotational.

We operate from two main sites – KGH in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. We have two busy emergency departments with more than 330,000 people visiting them last year. We’re campaigning to secure the £35m we need to transform the A&E at Queen’s and get rid of corridor care.
Our patients are benefitting from our Women’s Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch.
These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 94,000 scans a year.
