We’re excited to be recruiting three brand-new Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners to join our MSK Outpatient services. These roles follow significant investment to expand and transform how we deliver MSK care, with a focus on faster access, improved outcomes, and reducing inequalities across our communities.
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering innovative outpatient pathways, leading service transformation, and providing expert assessment and management for complex MSK patients. You will work collaboratively across primary, community, and secondary care to drive meaningful improvements in patient experience and outcomes.
We’re looking for experienced MSK clinicians who have led service development and improvement, with proven expertise in managing complex cases. Strong leadership, innovation, and collaborative working are essential, along with a passion for improving access and quality of care for diverse populations.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious, forward-thinking team shaping the future of MSK services. You’ll be working across three diverse London boroughs, with access to excellent opportunities for professional development and the chance to make a real difference at scale.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your MSK career and help us transform services for our communities, we’d love to hear from you.
These are patient facing roles.
To provide expert clinical leadership in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients within the MSK outpatient service, maximising patient outcomes within service boundaries.
To offer specialist guidance and advice to members of the MDT and external professionals (e.g., GPs) on matters relating to MSK care.
To lead and support the MSK physiotherapy service, acting as a role model in clinical and professional standards
To take a lead role in teaching, supervising, mentoring, and appraising staff across all bands, physiotherapy assistants, and student physiotherapists
To deliver highly specialised care for complex MSK patients, including advanced clinical assessment and extended scope interventions where appropriate
To support the Therapy Manager in developing the MSK service and contributing to clinical innovation and service improvement initiatives
To represent the MSK service as a clinical lead on agreed service development groups and boards.
We’re an organisation that is getting better and better and our improvements are driven by a determination to deliver care we’re proud of and our patients are happy with. We’re no longer in special measures; we’ve opened two new theatres at our Elective Surgical Hub in King George Hospital (KGH); and, in recognition of our progress, we’ve been shortlisted for Trust of the Year at the Health Service Journal Awards.
We operate from two main sites – KGH in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. We have two busy emergency departments with more than 330,000 people visiting them last year. We’re campaigning to secure the £35m we need to transform the A&E at Queen’s and get rid of corridor care.
Our patients are benefitting from our Women’s Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub.
These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 94,000 scans a year.
The majority of our 8,000 staff – who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. Many can work flexibly and more than 400 of them are on our Ofsted accredited apprenticeship programmes. We’re proud to be a London Living Wage employer.
We’re looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record that will be transformative for our staff and beneficial for our patients.
