The Neurodevelopmental diagnostic service lead will be responsible for leading and directing the neurodevelopmental diagnostic multi-disciplinary Team. This leadership role will involve working in collaboration with all key stakeholders and as part of the Barnet Community Paediatric Service, with a clear focus on making a positive impact on the lives of children and their parents/ carers going through the diagnostic process.
- To design, recruit and manage the MDT.
- to build effective working relationships with partner agencies specifically: community integrated therapies and CAMHS.
- To lead service development working alongside the NCL ICB service transformation project team.
- To lead on governance including clinical effectiveness, quality and safety performance, and risk management.
- To lead the service through application of advanced clinical judgement and advanced knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions and diagnosis management and leadership.
- To be a clinical expert and hold ongoing responsibility for the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- To ensure that clinical outcomes and patient experience are at the centre of service design.
- To take responsibility, in conjunction with team members, for evidence-based practice.
- To initiate, develop and review policies and evidence-based practice in pain management.
- To be innovative with practice in neurodevelopmental diagnosis both within the Trust and through the wider NCL team.
- To lead on education and training of MDT locally and across the Trust and NCL network.
- To assist with the development of all staff within the multidisciplinary team, providing support, advice, formal and informal education.
- To enhance the profile and reputation of the Royal Free service at NCL and national levels.
