We have driver bank Logistics Operative vacancies based at Meridian Business Park within our Estates and Facilities Directorate, to cover vacancies, annual leave, and sickness. Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm, on a rota basis.
The Logistics Operative (Porter) will be a member of the Trust’s Estates and Facilities Directorate, working within soft FM services, and will be responsible for providing a comprehensive patient support service in multiple environments.
The post holder will provide a high-quality, responsive, efficient, and effective patient support service to wards and departments in LPT NHS Trust, acting in a caring and professional manner and working in line with departmental operating procedures. The role involves working within a team to provide a high-quality driver courier/porter service, offering a timely, responsive, and proactive service for the movement of patients, internal mail, furniture, materials, and equipment within the site.
Uniform, as provided, must be worn at all times in the hospital environment and must not be worn to and from work. A high standard of personal hygiene must be maintained.

- Receipt and distribution of healthcare-related products
- Delivery of patient medication
- Internal and external mail sorting and delivery
- Collection and delivery of blood samples
- Ad hoc furniture moves
