Are you passionate about patient safety and precision? We’re looking for a dedicated
Sterile Services Technician to support our clinical teams by ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are expertly cleaned, sterilised, and delivered on time.
You’ll be a key part of the Sterile Services Department, maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control, and helping ensure our hospital departments are always equipped with safe, sterile tools for patient care.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collect, inspect, clean, and package surgical instruments.
- Operate washer disinfectors and sterilisers, performing routine checks.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
- Monitor stock levels and order replacements to ensure continuous supply.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to meet procedural needs.
- Uphold infection control standards and complete mandatory training.
- Support new team members and deputise for the supervisor when needed.
About you:
- A team player with excellent communication skills and IT skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Decontamination Sciences (or willingness to train).
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends and evenings
- Experience in a theatre or clinical setting.

- Knowledge of theatre instruments and sterilisation processes.
- Competent in operating washer disinfectors and sterilisers.
- Commitment to infection control and patient safety.
- Experience in healthcare or hospitality settings

- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure be flexible to the department work flow.
- Familiarity with product tracking systems.
Location: The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead
Contract Type: Zero-Hour, Bank Contract
Work Pattern: Varied hours
Hourly Rate: up to £13.00
