Bank Engineering Assistant | Competitive Hourly Rate | Flexible Working | Elland
We have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering Assistant to join our Staffing Bank. This role will support our Engineering Team at our Elland Hospital.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, depending on skill level and aptitude work on call as part of a department on call rota is possible.
Spire Elland Hospital has been providing high levels of medical treatment and personal care since 1985. Our hospital has a full multi-disciplinary medical team on-site who practice some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, and cosmetic procedures.
Duties and responsibilities;
To complete planned preventative maintenance tasks including servicing, inspection of plant and engineering equipment. To carry out reactive maintenance and general building repairs. Tasks as allocated by Engineering Manager.

Who We're Looking For
- Good standard of education, preferably computer literate
- Handy person skill level (DIY enthusiast)
- 2 years working in a maintenance role or similar
- Experience of medical maintenance would be an advantage, however is not essential as training will be provided
- Good general building skills.
- Hold a UK Driving License
- Pro active and able to work without supervision.
- Willingness to undergo further training
